Using our expertise in organ and tissue perfusion, Hemacell Perfusion will work on a customer-specific basis to isolate stem cells, total nucleated cells or other pluripotent stromal cells from term Umbilical cord tissues. To date, we have been asked to work on Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial (HUVEC) cells, mesenchymal stromal cells from the umbilical membrane as well as mesenchymal cells from the Wharton's Jelly.

Other cell types possible include vascular endothelial cells and umbilical cord amniotic tissue. Hemacell Perfusion can also supply propriety growth medium for expanding these cell types.

Cells can be supplied either freshly processed, cryopreserved or as monolayer cultures.

All tissue will be processed in accordance with the Federal Organ and Tissue Act and are intended for research use only.
